The real joy of Thassos has always been that of a holiday idyll – lazy days, and long lazy evenings too. A good old fashioned beach holiday place for the family in the Greek sunshine, or a place for a couple to enjoy each other’s company, or, for the really energetic, some fairly strenuous walking in the hills – with everything wrapped together by the people of the island who made their guests so welcome.

Thassos is relative to mainland Greece, its local geography, something on the history and local industries, and some pictures of the island a virtual tour of the rest of island, with pictures from most resorts and villages some suggestions for places to stay and places to eat in some resorts on Thassos.
