Where to eat on Thassos

There are many, many excellent Taverna’s on Thassos, some in the main resorts and some just somewhere good to stop along the way to somewhere else.
Included here are just a few suggestions, some of our own experience but most recommended by contributers to our feedback pages – hope you find something you like!

The Stekis Taverna

Unlike most of the other places mentioned here, The Stekis not on the beach front, but if you like Greek food it is certainly worth a visit or two. The Taverna is run by Katerina, supported by her husband Jorgos and their two sons. You will be able to get simple English food if that’s what you want, but the Steki is essentially Greek, and it is in its Greek food that it excels.

Katerina and Jorgos are special friends of my wife and I, so of course we recommend the Steki ourselves, and I can promise you Greek food to die for – David
